Terms of service

Last updated

These terms are between you and Yeam LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Houston, Texas (“Yeam”, “we”). They cover yeam.ai, the free worklist, the public demos and the Yeam app at app.yeam.ai (together, the “services”). By using the services you accept them. If you use the app for a company, you accept them for that company and confirm you may.

If your company signs an order form, customer agreement or business associate agreement (BAA) with us, that document controls wherever it differs from these terms.

1. What Yeam does, and what it does not

Yeam reads claim and denial exports, suggests the remedy, codes and filing deadline for each claim, and drafts corrected claims, appeals and other letters. Every one of those is a suggestion for a qualified person to check. Yeam does not submit anything to a payer. You decide what is sent and you are responsible for it, including its coding, its accuracy and its timing. Filing windows depend on each payer contract, so confirm a deadline against yours before you rely on it. Nothing in the services is legal, medical or coding advice.

2. Accounts

Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at info@yeam.ai if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

3. Your data

  • Your claim data stays yours. You let us process it only to provide the services to you, as described on the security page and in the privacy policy.
  • Do not send protected health information to the app until a BAA between your company and Yeam is signed, and never send it to the free worklist’s drafting or to a public demo.
  • You confirm you have the right to give us the data you upload, under your agreements with the practices you bill for.
  • Keep patient identifiers out of notes and instructions, which are stored as typed.
  • We do not sell your data and do not train models on it.

4. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • use the services to break the law or anyone’s rights;
  • try to get into accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or test our security without asking us first;
  • overload, scrape or automate the services beyond normal use, or get around their limits;
  • upload malicious code; or
  • resell the services without a written agreement with us.

5. Fees

The free worklist is free. Paid plans cost what the pricing page or your order form says, a monthly fee plus a rate for each denial worked, and are billed through Stripe. Prices exclude taxes. Fees already paid are not refunded unless the law requires it. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price you pay goes up.

6. Ours and yours

We own the services, including the software, the rules and the content we write. You own your data and the letters drafted for you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

7. Other services

The services work with things we do not control, such as payers, clearinghouses, your billing system and Google sign-in. Their terms govern them, and we are not responsible for what they do.

8. No guarantees

The services are provided as they are and as available. We do not promise that a claim will be paid, an appeal won or a deadline met, or that the services will be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue, including unpaid claims. Our total liability for any claim about the services is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose and $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, or to obligations in a signed BAA.

10. Responsibility for your use

You will defend and indemnify Yeam against third-party claims that arise from data you had no right to upload, from what you submit to payers, or from your breach of these terms.

11. Ending

You can stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if the law requires it, and will tell you why unless the law says otherwise. When an account ends you can export your data first, and we then return or delete claim data as your agreement and BAA require.

12. Law and disputes

Texas law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Harris County, Texas, and each of us accepts their jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and if a change matters to account holders we email them before it takes effect. Using the services after that means you accept the new terms.
